HQ Macro HD is Talius’ light-duty, energy-efficient roll shutter — designed for applications where solar heat gain, glare and privacy are the primary concerns. For dealers, it lets you right-size the solution for each client without over-specifying a heavy-duty unit or under-specifying a fixed screen.

Critical note for dealers
You must comply with all three maximums (width, height, area). Do not exceed any one of them. Maximums are automatically reduced for high-wind exposure, stringent security requirements, or freestanding applications such as patio enclosures.

Significantly improves window R-value
The polyurethane foam core has low thermal conductivity. When the curtain is closed, it creates an insulating air pocket between the shutter and the glass — blocking solar heat gain in summer and trapping indoor heat in winter.

Use the correct dimension
Talius price grids use A2 (width including guide rails). If you measured A1, add the rail width before looking up the base price.

Account for headroom
Panel box height varies with shaft size. The bottom profile protrudes ~2″ (50 mm) below the box when fully rolled up.

Add 2" upset to B1
Your B1 (guide rail height) must include 2″ of upset so the bottom profile clears the top of the opening.

Specify Winterization in cold climates
Aluminum slats swell slightly in cold, changing rolled curtain diameter. The package adds box reinforcement and surface stoppers.
