Critical note for dealers
You must comply with all three maximums (width, height, and area). Do not exceed any one of them. Maximums are automatically reduced for high-wind exposure, stringent security requirements, or freestanding applications such as patio enclosures.
- Security Certification
RC 2
The Safe Mini HD profile, combined with the Talius SafeGuard End Retention Rail System, has been tested in Europe for high-security applications and achieved RC2 certification. The standard simulates a break-in using screwdrivers, pliers and similar hand tools.
Why this matters in North America: there is no equivalent rating for roll shutters here. The European standard is the only industry benchmark. When you specify Safe Mini HD with SafeGuard, you are providing a certified security solution — not just a marketing claim.
Important:
The RC2 certification was performed using all SafeGuard components, including the reinforced bottom profile. If you opt out of the reinforced bottom profile, the unit cannot be deemed RC2 certified.

Use the correct dimension
Talius price grids use A2 (width including guide rails). If you measured A1, add the rail width before looking up the base price.

Account for panel box headroom
Panel box height varies with shaft size. Ensure clearance above the rails. Bottom profile protrudes ~2″ (50 mm) below the box when fully rolled up.

Add 2" upset to B1
Your B1 (guide rail height) must include 2″ of upset so the bottom profile clears the top of the opening.

Winterization is available
In colder climates, aluminum slats swell slightly. The Winterization Package adds panel box reinforcement and surface stoppers on the bottom profile.
