AG-77 HD addresses the gap between residential roll shutters and heavy industrial doors. The “AG” designation marks it as successor to the Talius Shield Standard; “77” refers to the 77 mm (≈3″) cover height — significantly larger than the 37–45 mm range of HQ Macro, Shield Mini and Safe Mini.

Critical note for dealers
You must comply with the maximum area. Dimensions greater than the maximum height may be exceeded with certain restrictions. Always verify operator lifting capacity — motor torque requirements increase with both width and height.

As the curtain rolls up, the diameter on the shaft grows — changing the geometry between curtain and rails. Standard fixed carriages bind or create friction. AG-77 HD solves this with a carriage that shifts forward or backward as the curtain moves, automatically adjusting to the changing roll-up diameter.

GR-105 Guide Rails
Built for large openings, not just for show.
Standard PRO or SAFE rails are not sufficient for AG-77 HD. Talius specifies the GR-105 — an extruded aluminum guide rail designed specifically for this profile. The wider rail provides the structural stability required for large, heavy curtains. Side locks hook inside the rails to keep the curtain in alignment during high winds or forced-entry attempts. It is not a cosmetic feature — it is an engineering requirement.

Compatibility warning
AG-77 is not compatible with any other locking device. Do not attempt to add hanger locks, centre key locks or sliding bars — they will interfere with the built-in mechanism.

Use the correct dimension
Talius price grids use A2 (width including guide rails). GR-105 rails are wide — confirm your opening accommodates the full A2 width.

Account for panel box headroom
Panel box height depends on shaft size — 250 mm (9.8″) for the 70 shaft, 360 mm (14.2″) for the 114 shaft. The bottom profile protrudes ~2″ (50 mm) below the box when fully rolled up.

AG-77 cannot use Hanger Locks
The uilt-in locking mechanism is integral. Do not add external locks — the B1 chart in the price book explicitly notes “(Can not be installed with Hanger Locks).”

Single span only
AG-77 and SAFE View are single span units only — they cannot be split into multiple curtain sections like HQ Macro, Shield Mini, or Safe Mini.

Winterization is available
